My pooch has been very ill this year
While ill he had lost more than a 1/3rd of his body weight, after many weeks of testing we found his immune system had turned on itself Quite a bit of nerve damage was done so he had lost so much strength I have to carry him up and down the stairs but thankfully he's slowly on the mend. This is his first day out in months and he's totally uninterested  http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1473584830.jpg |

We rescued one year old brother and sister golden retrievers a few weeks ago. They seem to have lead a very sheltered life but are quickly finding comfort in their new situation. Previous owner was apparently a depressed shut-in type who was suddenly hospitalized for mental reasons. He seems to have loved his dogs and took good care of them they just never had a chance until now to run and play.
They're super sweet and beautiful dogs. We are all very happy especially my 3 year old and 9 year old sons. We just need to fence in the yard so they can have more space and don't need to be walked so often. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1473675246.jpg |

August 2015, when we first got him, 4 different kind of intestinal parasites, hair falling out
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1473700803.jpg August 2016, a year since he pooped out his last worm, 15-20 lbs heavier, gums not the same color as his teeth http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1473701327.jpg |
This dog thread makes me think of chickens.
Is it a pipe dream to think the right breed of dog will maintain control over unfenced chickens? Can and will the right kind of dog herd and protect unfenced chickens year-round in a sub-arctic clime such as I find myself? If so, taking into consideration the dog will also serve as my companion and mentor, is this doable? |

My old buddy, Murphy(Australian Shepard) used to get all excited when I'd bust out the shop vac. He loved getting vacuumed. He is missed, hard to believe it's been 16 years. Sent via Jedi mind trick by the cat |

So while on a vacation, Sir Henry is staying at the parent's. As you can see, we are missed...................not!
