Nice!
Congrats on the new arrival. He is a good looking dog.
What caused him to be in need of rescue?

JFK713 12-02-2020 06:24 AM

Thanks guys! He was relinquished from an elderly couple - 90 pounds of energetic GSD puppy was too much for them to handle.

This one just passed away in her sleep at 10.

This is when we first got her. All of 55 pounds and 2 years old. By the time she was 4 she was 75 pounds and solid. Her first owners kept her in a kennel 22 hours out of the day. She was blind in one eye and had a lens transplant in her other so she could see a little bit. July she had a clean bill of health from the vet and the vet was surprised she had no joint issues, no heart murmurs or any other maladys of a dog that age. She wouldn't have thought the lab was that old had we not told her.

Sounds like you need a reason to smile, flipper. So here's Teddy, our happy boy. He's almost 14 now and going strong.

What a beautiful girl. I'm sorry for your loss, but glad that you had the years with her that you had.

I can tell you that she was a dope some days, as you can tell from the middle pic, but she was the happiest dog I have ever seen. I don' think she ever had a bad hour with us, let alone a bad day. She loved snow and a couple days before we had a snowfall and she just had a blast. I was glad she got to enjoy that.

Rikao4 12-10-2020 09:30 AM

Hang on as best you can Vinny....
spoil and rub..
we cry later or when they can't see us.

my Finn just gave me a big scare..
Years of Lab in a Dane frame are taking it's toll..
Vet said his frame can't take the pounding anymore...
I've tried telling him..
he's much better now...
thinks he got new shocks and is ready to work them..
but his days of flying after balls are seriously limited..
with water landings preferred..http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1607619987.jpg
