Rich, I'm sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family.

Baz 01-23-2013 07:37 PM

Hey Rich - very sorry for your loss but Rudy lived a good life I'm sure and knew he was loved. That's all that really matters.
Thanks for sharing Rudy's wonderful portrait.
All the best,
Baz and the girls

Rich,

So sorry for your loss. It's one of the most terrible feelings to deal with. We put our last boy down almost a year ago and I never thought I'd be ready again.

Time will help heal the pain of such a close loss. We finally decided to adopt a new surrender puppy this week and I can't tell you how excited we are.

wdfifteen 01-24-2013 01:22 PM

Sorry for the loss of your friend. It's hard, and they say you get over it, but you always keep it with you.

Jim Bremner 01-24-2013 01:33 PM

Rich, Sorry for your loss. There's not a man in this thread that doesn't fear that day.

rouxroux 01-24-2013 01:35 PM

Sorry to hear Rich, they are such important parts of our lives/family. Here's hoping that nice memjories will soon fill that void you're feeling right now. He was a very handsome boy.

Buckterrier 01-24-2013 03:16 PM

Sorry for the loss of your doggie. You'll have fond memories for the rest of your life.

VINMAN 01-24-2013 04:31 PM

Rich, I'm so sorry for the loss of your buddy. :(

Miss Olive was requested by the Humane Society a couple of weeks ago for a photo shoot they are doing in conjunction with PETA for their next fund raising campaign and advertising. Turns out she is quite the camera ham. We have not heard yet how they are going to use the photos but when we do, you all will hear about it.
She got to be the team mascot for the day at my daughters volleyball tournament yesterday. I can't believe how lucky we are to have this wonderful and well behaved girl in our lives.
Henry, Those little Blue Nose pups are very cute!

This is another part of the old airbase that I take my dog too. this apron by the water has been developed into a ferry terminal. this boat ramp was built in WW2 and they used it to bring Catalinas and Short Sunderlands up and down it. My dog loves it!

Don't know how I missed this. Daisy is gorgeous. Widgeon (our golden) always has to carry something when we walk, even if it's a rock.

Our Tuti was recently asked to be included in a book on puppy training. The photographer had her for an afternoon and then presented us with this great framed print as a keepsake. Is she cute or what?

Good job Vinny. Way to put a lump in my throat. ;)

FrenchToast 02-08-2013 03:48 PM

This is a great thread. Just went through every page. All gorgeous dogs!

I am surprised though, no car toys? I mean, where are the plush squeaky Porsches? And where can we get one?

Our dog likes to ride in wagons. Easy to get into, and a roomy ride. You can't say "car", "go", etc. Can't bring suitcases to the car without having a very excited puppy!

Our friends used to have a dog that would always (and only) howl when his master's Alfa Romeo was started up.

That dog grooming (ski) video is great.

Take care!

Is she on a routine.....goes outside to potty right after eating?

Then out first thing in the morning?

Out each time you return home?

My girls know the routine.

Routines are the best way to communicate to your furkids - consistency!

Our new rescue from Kansas is settling in pretty well. Said she was Boston and Pug mix but we're not real sure.... Don't care either as she is a great little girl so far.

The sunrise as we drove into Salina to pick her up. 6 hour trip one way from Denver.

widgeon13 02-10-2013 09:06 AM

Nice pup! Great sunrise.

I spent five years of my youth in Salina.

Slider79SC 02-10-2013 09:18 AM

We picked her up at the McDonalds off of I-70 at exit 295 at 8:30 am. We headed straight back to Denver so we didn't see much of Salina.

I lived there from '57 to ' 62' so it's been a long time but I enjoyed as a kid. Thanks

My son and his girl friend got some new pups.
Haven't seen them in person yet, but hear they are cute from those that have.
