Vin, how tall is Bodhi?
We will be looking at another Heeler in the next few years. Just curious. Beautiful dog, btw. |
Thanks Paul! Bodhi is about 21-22in at the shoulders. Hes 62lbs now. Got a little hefty... :D
His brother Sydney, that we recently lost was about 24in. He was a big boy! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1658953551.jpg |

Dottie is 70lbs and very long. She'll need a playmate that can run with her and I want another Heeler because D is smart and so is the average Heeler. |

Our male dachshund is a hunter. He seems convinced we don't ever feed him enough. He has eliminated all the bison, and deer, and chased off all the wolves, polar bears and alligators and other predictors from our back yard, we just never see them anymore.
He is convinced the worlds best snack is a cicada. He loves them. In the evenings he goes out on patrol, nose to the grass smelling for emerging cicadas. I guess he likes cicada veal the most. He can smell them still underground. Now our back yard lookes like a small meteor shower hit with craters just a little bit smaller than the Arizona Meteor crater near I-40. He gets a scent, and his digging instincts kick in. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1660152803.jpg He came in with his feet looking like this last night. His chest was covered in mud as well. Mrs. Carrera just takes him outside, and uses water from the rain barrel to wash his feet and chest. The rain barrel is only partially in the shade, so it is pretty warm. He just stands there and accepts the cleanup. Any animal in the back yard is game as far as he is concerned. He finally learned last year toads are not worth messing with. For a few years I was afraid he was a addicted to toad sucking. He was often frothing at the mouth. Anything else is game. So far this year only one bunny, and mouse are the most recent causalities. |

They often bring us little troubles here and there but with the Pet express it is always very easy to sort those out. Last time it was about a month ago when our youngest cat decided to bring home fleas. |
