Yikes!!!! Thanks Jeremy.
I took the day off work just to keep an eye on her cause I couldn't leave her in the kennel knowing she may have a diarrhea attack. I should have known better than to leave anything out in front of her....she eats anything and everything....... I know some would think I'm nuts for staying home with a dog....yeah yeah I get it...its kinda like a work from home type of day today. |
Jeremy beat me to it.
I hope Mr. Peabody is going to be OK, Mike. You may want to call your vet and let him/her know what Mr. Peabody did just as a head's up and maybe they will also have some advice on what you can do in the meantime to negate some of the adverse effects. As far as staying home with your companion....this is what you do out of respect and love for Mr. Peabody. No, you are not nuts and anyone with that opinion is delusional and misguided. My Umbrella Cockatoo, Matilda, developed a sore toe sometime on Saturday and I've been tending to her hand and foot (no pun intended) since. She's doing better now - putting some weight back on it finally and the swelling has gone down a bit. But until she get's back on her feet (no pun intended) I will not leave the house for more than a 3 hour stint. |
Yeah guys I called our vet and she said lots of water....LOTS OF WATER....and make sure she goes pee often and to look for laboured breathing and sluggishness.....She seems fine, and not even any diarrhea. She (the vet) didn't seem very concerned about it...but there was just something about grapes that I thought I had heard bad things about....better safer than sorry.

Just watched this Twilight Zone episode.
It's called "The Hunt". This is only the last part of the episode - but will get the point across. <iframe width="640" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/5L1BSnxH4b4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Looks great (in theory) and would be a great answer for the dog as long as it works (has some good and some bad reviews). Thanks in advance. |
Thanks Baz. They are both rescues. Our black & tan longhair came from the local Florida Dachshund Rescue, where she was sent after having been found swimming alone down in Ft Myers. Our red sable short came from Hearts United for Animals in the midwest. He didn't like the plane ride or being let out of his carrier in strange surroundings but he sure has come around.
