All I knew was that Rin-Tin-Tin was a huge silent film star. He actually saved Warner Brothers from bankruptcy a few times. Writing for Rin-Tin-Tin's movies was actually Darryl F. Zanuck’s career breakthrough. Later, there was a 1954 TV series that probably inspired Lassie. His origin and history is interesting.
AI Overview Rin Tin Tin famously scaled walls up to \(12\) feet high using pure athleticism, momentum, and a running start. Rather than jumping straight up, he would sprint toward the obstacle, plant his paws forcefully against the vertical surface, and use that push-off to propel himself over the top.His extraordinary leaping ability was discovered at a 1922 California dog show. In a leaping competition, officials incrementally raised the bar until Rin Tin Tin successfully scaled an 11-foot, 9-inch wall, wowing the crowd. This spectacular feat was captured on film by an inventor testing a new slow-motion camera, which ultimately caught the eye of Hollywood producers. https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cuw8ik_O85w/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== https://americacomesalive.com/the-story-of-rin-tin-tin-2/

The turnspit dog, also known by its Latin nickname Vernepator Cur (meaning “the dog that turns the wheel”), was a breed developed specifically for the kitchen. Their job was simple but exhausting: run inside a wooden wheel, like a hamster wheel, which was connected to a spit over an open fire. As the dog ran, it turned the spit, keeping the meat cooking evenly over the flames.

I usually can't leave for more than a minute or two before Mia camps out on my pillow. Quite endearing, actually. A little dog hair never hurt anybody, right? Yes, that's her handiwork on the nightstand...

Sunny wanted to go for a ride when I got my wife's bike out to prep for the summer.
Yes, I have no helmet on, I was only planning to warm it up, check the oil and such. Had no clue the pup was desperate for a ride and in a moment of weakness, I grabbed her backpack and gave in.
