Very sorry to hear this, Bob.....tough way to lose your girl.

Sad the boys had to see that, but learning about death and loss at a young age is important.

Cheyenne had a serious seizure about 3 weeks ago and my wife and I decided if she needed anything else we would put her down to prevent suffering.

She was almost 14 which is old for a weimaranier and we got her a week before we found out we were having twins, so she grew up with the boys.

She was loved, and she was a good dog......

I'm truely sad.

Sorry to hear about your loss. It's never easy losing a family member, especially under those circumstances. Hope the family is recovering after it happening that way. Kinda puts a damper on the vacation.

Baz
Saw this and thought of the girls. Be sure to give them some belly rubs for us.

Tank has been bringing in the paper faithfully for 8 of his 9 years. He does this without my prompting or presence. I was concerned my filming would confuse him and he'd bring it to me, but he knows his job well. I wish I could spend $1mm to add five more years to his live.

How do you get them to stay glued to the ceiling like that?

Mine usually moves before the glue dries....

This is Shadow . She is a 10 year old rescue .
We adopted her when she was 8 weeks old .
By the age of 5 months we no longer had to kennel her when we left the house .
We have owned a lot of good/smart dogs of many different breeds over the years . Shadow has been one of the easiest dogs to train .
We take her racing with us . We run vintage go karts .
Everyone at the different tracks knows the "BlacK Dog " Shadow .
When we get to our pit , we put her blanket down and she just hangs out .
When it's time to go to the grid , she comes with us .
When it is time to fire the karts up and head out on the track , I say "shadow head to the pit " . When we come off the track, she will be at the pit waiting for us .

She is our team mascot and company logo .
We have a website.

^^^ Thanks for the post, Brian! Shadow is a great name for your little girl....she's a beaut! Looks to be mostly Black Lab...one of the best breeds, IMHO. My girls are about the same age. Rescues are the best, eh? Love this pic...
