RIP Jack

RIP Jack

My best mate, fearless watchdog, born comedian, serious gourmet, full of beans and mischief and everyone's friend. A small dog, but he leaves a huge hole in our lives.

Man, it's tough losing a pet. I can't bring myself to get another until I sure they will out live me.

So sorry.

stomachmonkey 06-19-2012 11:32 AM

Sorry man.

Schnauzers have so much personality.

One of the best breeds I've shared my life with.

Mine was one of my best drinking buddies.

Sorry for your loss, there is no replacing as good a friend as your pet. Sounds silly, but the one I can't wait to see when I get home, is my cat, little guy is the only one sincerely happy to see me.

GH85Carrera 06-19-2012 12:15 PM

Man, I hate these threads. Though I'm glad that you shared it with us. I opened it hoping that it was a human that died, preferably a really old one that lived the schit out of life. :(

Schnauzers are amongst the cutest and best personality dogs on earth. It says a lot about you that you picked that breed, all dogs are generally great but there are subtle clues about the owner depending on breed, IMO.

He can join my giant rabbit, Romeo, in dog heaven if there is such a place. I feel your pain, buddy.

THE BEST PLACE TO BURY A DOG

There is one best place to bury a dog.
If you bury him in this spot, he will
come to you when you call - come to you
over the grim, dim frontier of death,
and down the well-remembered path,
and to your side again.

And though you call a dozen living
dogs to heel, they shall not growl at
him, nor resent his coming,
for he belongs there.

People may scoff at you, who see
no lightest blade of grass bent by his
footfall, who hear no whimper, people
who may never really have had a dog.
Smile at them, for you shall know
something that is hidden from them,
and which is well worth the knowing.

The one best place to bury a good
dog is in the heart of his master.

Jack looks like one of the great ones... sorry for you and your family's loss dottore.

DanielDudley 06-19-2012 03:04 PM

I'm so sorry my friend. I have always thought well of you. I'm sure therefore that any dog you would have would be devoted.

It is tough to lose a devoted friend.

Very sad. My condolences, sir.
Never cared for Schnauzers, till I owned one. We've had 3 now and I'll prob get another sometime.
They're so damn cool. Our first was Rudy, absolutely fearless, yet funny. One day he was standing near me and I looked over as he farted. He sharply turned to see where the noise came from! I don't think he initially realized it came from himself! That was priceless.

crustychief 06-19-2012 04:08 PM

I am sorry to hear of your loss Dottore. R.I.P. Jack.
