I am not a musician, but I would like to have a few pints with Sir David Gilour.

Same here, my trumpet playing would be a great follow-up to waterboarding.

Alive: Eric Capton or Mark Knopfler
Deceased: Chet Atkins or Jimi Hendrix & I'd have to include Django Reinhardt. I know the thread calls for one musician - its too tough a call for me to pick just one. Cheers JB

I've hung out with him and I can show you how to play that.

Living would probably be Eric Johnson. I've met him before and he's a nice guy. However, I think he'd be a world class guitar teacher and I'd love to pick his brain on his technique and tone.
Dead I'd have to say John Bonham or Bon Scott. What could be more fun than partying with those guys?

I'm not a musician, just a fan, but I always thought it would be cool to be friends with Nick Mason, David Gilmour, John Hiatt or Neil Young.
Those are just off the top of my head,

I've been with Tom Waits. He is weird beyond belief. George was cool, he helped me name my daughter.

I'm not a musician but I'd have to say Levon Helm.
