As u said you are going to be with your Mother and she is grieving right now in addition to you and your brother. The best thing you can do is help your Mother in any way you can. If she is a strong lady great but if not be there for her as long as it takes to fix things etc. Back in the 60's I tried to get a leave from my job after my father died. They would not give it so I quit and spent 2 weeks helping my mother clean up the acreage. She did not shed a tear once. She was a strong cookie. Passed away this July. She needs u both in this time of grieving. Hope this helps!
