My advice if your in the same market, buy a 550i. If my car's value is now in the mid 20's, its one of the best deals out there for shear driving pleasure

So why not buy a couple-year-newer 550XI and get your all wheel drive?

Hey Eric Speaking of M3s do you know what is a new one going to cost? Casual questioning in the showroom leads me to believe they want MSRP. Is there a bargaining position to go in with? No lease just a cash sale.

If I "liked" the new 5 series, I wouldn't be test driving all these cars. I have had some as loaners and they remind me of slightly shorter 7 series. The car has just gotten too big for my taste, but I may reconsider. I will look into it.

You can find used 2012s with under 5000 miles for $55-60K (depending on options) and NEW 2012 left-overs for $8000 off MSRP.

A 2012 Gray M3 with 6300 miles in CA for $59K
And many more with "normal miles" for thousands less....


Nothing substantive changed for 2013, and the new bodystyle is coming out sooooon (already out in sedans).
So why would you EVER pay $75K+ MSRP?!?!?

The ones I see used are about 8-10 k less than new. For that amount and that type of car I was thinking it would be worth it.

Well, $10-15K savings for used M3s with under 9K miles sounds like a good deal to most people. Maybe order the exact one you want and shop around for a great deal.

Well, today I made the final decision. I was going to purchase a 135is or 335is but the leases on M3 improved so much this month I could not resist.

Here is the deal I agreed upon today. I placed my order this morning and already received my production number.
