Entry keypad for non-Ford vehicle
I have driven Fords for the last couple of decades and am used to having the entry keypad to access my vehicle without keys. What a great feature.
I am trying to find a system to add to the new GM product in the driveway but it seems most info on the net is quite old. I assume Ford owns this technology and is not fond of letting others borrow it. Anyone add a keypad to their new vehicle lately? Obviously would prefer a stick on model without the need to run wires and drill holes.

I had a Ford and loved that feature.
It seems the keyless entry and pushbutton start have replaced it.

Many other cars had it as well, Nissan for instance. But it went the way of the do-do with the above mentioned tech.

Didn't you still have to pull the key out of your pocket and put it in the column?

The feature is still standard on upper level trimmed Fords.
It would not be too big of a stretch to say I used the key pad everyday for the last 15 years. My friends and family all knew the code. Sure am going to miss it if a new product is not available. I have 2 F150s (05 and 06). One has keyless entry, the other does not. I've locked my keys in the one without a few times, forgetting which truck I was in. I love that feature. I tried adding one of the Ebay stick-on keyless entries to the one without, but didn't work. Apparently they have to come from the factory with some kind of keyless code in the computer, which mine didn't have. Bummed.
