Black cars..... ugh, can't stand that color. You couldn't give me a black car. And, wanna know another thing, I LOVE Guards Red. I even proved my own theory a few years ago. I was given a black Nissan SUV for free *great car, btw*. I sold it and bought the same SUV in a different color.

Did I mention I HATE black!

I was cussing my 911 last time I cleaned it. Then promptly got it dirty again. Doesnt help that there is 50 feet of wet uphill grass between the driveway and garage. Interiors are just as bad. The carpets atleast dont go one drive without gathering every spec of debris they can get their hooks on. I didnt intentionally get a black car but beggers cant be choosers

The 'caps lock' button.
(for those of us who are non-gifted typists)

stevej37 03-20-2020 08:42 AM

^^^ yeah I slipped on the p's SmileWavy
loser and looser are both correct

monoflo 03-20-2020 09:52 AM

Patina (overused) and barn find.

abisel 03-20-2020 11:17 AM

ok, I'll play.

Which is correct?

"There are three (to, too, two)s in the English language."

stevej37 03-20-2020 11:27 AM

^^^
depends on how you are using it in a sentence.

Funny, I learned English in my late teens when I joined the Navy.

No problem with the "(to, too, two)" but had a hard time with "than and then" until I came across the solution... If it's related to "Time", you pick the one that got an E in it.

Retail websites that load advertisements and/or things don't work.

The worst is when "create an account" doesn't work, or when you change the delivery address, the billing address changes and then you can't check out.

ANY LITTLE GLITCH in the checkout process, and I'm out......Just not that 'into it'. Left stuff "in my cart" with ZGallerie, and DWR.com.

Por_sha911 03-22-2020 04:16 PM

I went to a website today to look for a new office chair. I couldn't even look at what they offer until I gave them my name, email address and phone #. Really?

I've never had a problem with any of those.

Nor effect vs. affect, which I see misused all the time.

Or principle vs. principal.

:p

My pet peeve is product packaging which is very hard to open. The worst is when they provide perforations but no print to tell you how it's supposed to be opened.

Hyperlinks to a newspaper or news site article and who have to sign up to read it.

Just by clicking on the link.....they already have that.

“Cool” people who only refer to their cars by the internal manufacturer’s code.

Talk radio call in shows.

People who take pride in and defend their ignorance

^ Haha! That's like Bob Varsha on the old "Speed Channel". Talking English and suddenly would bust out "Reubens BADDA-CHELO", or blah blah blah in English and then yell out: "Robert KOO-BEET-SAH"! I'm probably the only person on the planet who thought he was a total douchebag for doing that...

Uni-lingual and proud of it:

nah, bunker busters require a plane ovehead.
If they can fly that far, for such a deep strike, and not be take nout.

It's all over anyway

Do you know yet which one of your family has been turned by us (um I meant to say "them") to a double agent?

RSBob 03-23-2020 09:29 PM

People more paranoid than I am.

Not relevant, I hate em as much as they hate me !
They have nothing on me you can use !SmileWavy

Family is not something you can pick , and in my case I wouldn't have picked 'em if i had the picking.

But which one will be sneaking up to you with a syringe of untraceable poison? But hey, you got nothing to worry about. Relax, take a nap.

GH85Carrera 03-25-2020 07:54 AM

I had one happen today. Come to a 4 way stop sign in a fairly rural area with just one other car in sight and on my left. We arrive at the same time. They never really stop, just slow down and roll through the intersection at 1 MPH. They we in such a big hurry they did not have time to stop, but then go through the intersection like it is covered in ice or snow. I am forced to sit and wait for them to mosey along through the intersection.

URY914 03-25-2020 08:05 AM

I think about half of the pet peeves in this thread involve driving.

I used to say that as soon as I got the back of the 911 clean, the front was already dirty again. But if I was fast enough to get the whole car clean at once, it looked great!
I'll never own another black car.

I now have white Toyota SUV, my wife has a white Toyota SUV, my son has a white Toyota SUV (in my name), and my daughter has a white lexus. She hadta be different.

Note that none of these cars have ever needed any maintenance beyond scheduled routine. No breakdowns, no repairs (except replacing a couple tires from road debris). And the cars all look as good as when they were new.

I love white Toyotas. :D

Ya know, 'bout half the time that is done on porpoise? Irregardless ;)

recycled sixtie 03-25-2020 08:36 AM

People that don't pick up after their dog.:):D

DonDavis 03-27-2020 04:08 PM

DBs that stand 18" behind people in line.

And my white Subie OBW looks clean almost all the time. Even after I take it off road a bit, the mud makes it look like it's flashing a devilish grin.

Btw, this is the first white car I've ever owned.
Was never of fan of white cars, but here I am...happily.

People who drive 40 to 45 for miles on a curved two lane road with a double yellow with 15+ cars stacked behind them with no safe place to pass. I am a pretty calm person but they make me boarderline homicidal.

People who don’t leash dogs with behavioral issues on public trails. After my dog was bitten by a Dobi, carried mace and blasted a pit coming after my dog the following week. Stopped the Pit in its tracks, but come on people.

astrochex 03-28-2020 04:30 AM

“Its all good.”

I hate this saying.

Por_sha911 03-28-2020 06:41 AM

OK
Its all bad.

There. Are you happy? :D

Hawkeye's-911T 03-28-2020 09:35 AM

OK! In keeping with the current trend... It is what it is

How about the pricks that start pulling away from their stop about 1.5 seconds before you go past at 60mph. WTF? You saved 1.5 seconds...congratulations!!

Or those who drive 55mph on a two lane highway only to floor it when the road opens up into 3 lanes (one of the 3 is oncoming) or just as irritating, stay at 55 and move into the center of the 3.

Lastly, black Amish buggies with no lighting, at night.

RSBob 03-28-2020 07:44 PM

Those black Amish buggies with no lights drive me nutz here

AND people talking loudly or steaming videos on mobile phones in restaurants.

AND clue less _____________ (use your favorite swear word or two) not taking this COVID-19 thing seriously

Por_sha911 03-29-2020 05:41 AM

The blood sucking leeches called the "news media" who cash in on very tragedy or crisis by broadcasting doom gloom and fear 24/7. Then we wonder why people freak out and panic.

We are supposed to be wise in dealing with the current crisis but we are not supposed to have a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Otter74 03-29-2020 11:41 AM

People who call the Latin American country "Columbia"

stevej37 03-29-2020 11:51 AM

^^^ wow...that narrows it down quite a bit! :)
I prob would be guilty of that also...didn't keep up well in geog class

stevej37 03-29-2020 11:53 AM
