Lubey,, I just bought vinyl to do mine.. cost me $150 ( chinese source).. it's flat white for my track car.. haven't installed it yet but I have a buddy that will show me how.
I wouldn't stick Chinese vinyl on a car I cared about Todd. That stuff will shrivel, shrink and crack in the sunlight. The adhesive wont be the good removable stuff either, so it will be a nightmare to remove in 2 years when it goes bad...

I been stashing away my card playing winnings that I was gonna use. Little over $2000. I figuered I could get it done nice for that. I think I may just get a few quotes. The price will be less if I prep and even get the cancer fixed. maybe i can fix the cancer myself? Not very big at all - no through, just a few surface spots. Hmmmm...

You could always just POR15, bondo, and sand. Might not last forever, but probably as long as the vinyl.

Por15 is a rust converting paint, some of the best of the bunch. Pretty good stuff, do a search in the tech forum for more information. It's pretty popular in the restoration world.

I'm not sure if Por15 converts rust or is an end-all. It is a plasticized coating which seems to seal pretty good. Suggest fixing rust areas with dedicated conversion chemicals first. Also look into "waxoyl" for internals.

Don't like it? Rip it off and start again

I'm considering matt orange for my 911.

So you cut the stuff to shape (rough), do you peel the back off? is it a bit sticky? apply and then trim to finish and fold under? hit with the heat gun. Thats it?

I'm guessing that's about it. You'd get better as you worked around the car.

I'm thinking matt dark blue now

So many options. Love it!
