Here is our old travel trailer. We have been to South Florida and Lake Michigan in it. And several spots in between. Its got a few marks here and there, but it doesn't leak and we have no trouble spotting it amongst the others.

My dream camper:

Bigger but reliable motor, freeway flyer trans, a couple of deep cycle batteries, inverter, mabe some additional ventilation or heat. Raised just a bit too. Maybe some period sport seats and a 12V flat panel. I can dream, right?

Earthroamers are made here, this one was outside my office.

Here is a twin to the Tiger I had, as much as I love the Westy, this was a better camper in every way.

This monster was in Boulder this fall. I went inside for a tour, but drank no coolaid.

My 91 3/4 ton suburban 4x4 is no beauty queen. Has the vinyl seats and floor mat. Goes anywhere. Sleep in back. Haul the family. Set me back $850. Sort of the Appalachian Earthroamer.

That is a classic beauty. Can you tell us a bit more about it? Is it a silver streak? What is the door just behind the entry door?
Do you notice similarities between enthusiasts of vintage trailers and air cooled Porsche?
Oh, how does your wife like the low seat bike?

Cheers Richard

Mike, you posted the Earthroamer before I could. I drive by there twice a day and dream about winning the lottery so I can affod one of those.

This is my older set up.

And what I use now, 2011 Keystone Raptor Toyhauler (on right)

Don't know why, but this picture reminds me of a Richard Scarry book (two towed trailers.)

The double pulling wasn't too bad.... as long as I didn't have to back up!

Nice set up!

Yeah, they are spendy for sure. Air suspension was super cool, pic was after he dropped it about 8 inches to fit under the tree.

The trailer is a 1964 Streamline. The door was access to the propane refrigerator.

My wifes bike is an electra, she loves it. Its easier on her back, or so she say's.

Here is my 1968 Avion C11 truck camper I picked up to rebuild, she's on " kong " my 2001 GMC diesel 4x4 dually. Going to do a total refurb on the inside plus add solar panels on the exterior. This allows me to tow either the boat or the car trailer.

Slide out campers on a truck body are a good illustration of a middle ground between the trailer/hauler on the on the one hand and the "all-in-one" on the other. Like a trailer, you can drop it off at your camp site, but like an all-in-one you don't have to pull a long load behind you and can reach places no trailer combo can get to. But they are more effort to unload than just unhooking a trailer...

I really want an old Greyhound Scenicruiser, and convert it to a motorhome.
