Here's one of my favorites.

TubeRadioLand.com - a collection of vintage radios.

I've honestly never cared for the sparton bluebird or its big brother the Sparton Nocturne.

Sparton Nocturne

Of all the mirror radios, I much prefer "The Sled."

Sparton Model 557 'Sled' Blue-Mirror Radio

Radio Attic is a neat site. The list prices are really high, but they have a whole bunch of neat radios on their site.

Cars - I have more cars than I can reasonably drive and all get cash dumped into 'em.

Old Car stereo Amplifiers- Esp. Rockford Fosgate and A/D/S equiment or anything made in USA. To me old car stereo amps like owning a Rolex watch, a chevy truck (I have one of them) or a leatherman knife.

always gonna be useful, always going to be wanted. MIght as well be a good one.

Oh, and NO it's not on display in the house. Eww.

I collect random old crap:
old sports equipment (old skates, snow shoes, early 1900s baseball bat, crutches, old skis etc; kind of ironic as I really don't follow any sports).
1930s wooden propeller
1792 Penny
1980 space invaders cabaret video game
1948 tucker car radio
1983 mercedes benz 300td grill
a bunch of old computers (like 1985 mac; 1993 mac powerbook that I used for my dissertation, etc)
a number of scale cars
Old airplane rudder

1822 History Textbook

Of course if you live in certain parts of the US, this chapter is thoroughly modern...

Another thread brought me back to this one.

I have a worthless collection of old computers: 286, 386, 486, Cyrix, Celeron, Pentium, PII, PIII, P4, Core II, AMD, etc. I have tried to get one significant model from each series. The 486 is my prize because it is an IBM and was really hard to find a good one in good shape (rocking windows 3.1.) They are really only worth scrap value now but in the day some of the machines were in the $3 to $5k range new.

Next up is to further my collection of old Apples with a G3 Cube...

Reel to Reel tape decks like Revox A-77's, Ampex ATR-102, Otari MTR-10's & 12's and of course old JBL speakers, horns, old JBL amps. Makes a very nice old analog system for the shop!

I collect memories- mostly good. Bad ones I try to discard.Trying to discard and downsize stuff. I think my surviving family members will have their hands full.
