Glad that has been brought to a close. Beyond the terrible devastation already wrought, the bill for legal operations as well as the financial toll of stopping a good sized city for a day will be something to see.

Just saw a photo of the suspect in an ambulance. Its a frame capture from a video, so it could be distorted, but it looks like he has sustained a horrible head wound.

Glad they got him. Alive or dead, didn't matter to me, but I guess alive might be better in case there is anything profilers can learn from talking to him.

How about all those Watertown residents/gawkers standing outside a couple of blocks away futzing around with their cellphones and ipads after hearing gunshots?

If you knew there was possibly a killer in your neighborhood (regardless of what you heard at a press conference), would you be outside?

Standing around like an idiot? Have mercy.

Also, if you had been told to call 9-1-1 if you saw something unusual, and given there was an armed killer on the loose who possibly had explosives, and you saw blood on your boat and/or the tarp covering your boat, would you go look under the tarp?

It takes a special kind of stupid to do that.

And now that this whole ordeal is over, I hope somebody tells Col. Timothy Alben of the Massachussetts State Police to get refitted for a cap. I don't know if his head is too big or the cap is too small, but it just ain't right the way it is now...

I'm glad the brothers have been taken care of, but I hardly believe this is over. I'm thinking this is just the tip of the iceberg...

well...the guy seems to have been trapped inside a fishing boat on trailer in a gunfight with an entire city's police department (edit:wrong). I can't see how he would be alive if they didn't simply shoot the ground all around him making him think that he still had a chance while burning ammo. He still may have shot himself but had also been shot yesterday and was bleeding ever since.

The intersection of not enough blood and not enough bullets is tough.

edit: Made the mistake of believing early internet reports

Here is the video of the same thing. He is P.O.ed. Can't imagine what this guy is going through.

Good job on capturing him alive! Somehow, I don't believe that two brothers would do this on themselves. FBI will hopefully found who helped them.

No Schit, at least be armed!

If you knew there was possibly a killer in your neighborhood (regardless of what you heard at a press conference), would you be outside? Standing around like an idiot? Have mercy.

Yes, No

Also, if you had been told to call 9-1-1 if you saw something unusual, and given there was an armed killer on the loose who possibly had explosives, and you saw blood on your boat and/or the tarp covering your boat, would you go look under the tarp?

Absolutely

It takes a special kind of stupid to do that.

To not do so would be cowardice

He's just a figure that talks and wears a hat, the people do the work.

Thank you, the fine citizen, for the apprehension of this rogue individual.
