Two bombs go off at the Boston Marathon

An 8-year-old boy was one of the two people killed in Monday's terror attack on the Boston Marathon, a state law enforcement source says.


Meanwhile, hospital officials say the number of wounded treated at Boston hospitals after the bombings has risen to 132, including 17 in critical condition.

The timing seemed odd, until I heard the 4 hours and something minutes after the start of the race was about the average finish time. In Boston many trash cans are solar powered compactor things with a feed slot much like a mail box or library book return, and they are locked. Difficult for security to look inside. I was on that very block two weeks ago today for a TV Pilot.

Just wanted to share what Patton Oswalt (comedian and actor from King Of Queens)posted. Reflects my feelings as well.....

I remember, when 9/11 went down, my reaction was, "Well, I've had it with humanity."

But I was wrong. I don't know what's going to be revealed to be behind all of this mayhem. One human insect or a poisonous mass of broken sociopaths.

But here's what I DO know. If it's one person or a HUNDRED people, that number is not even a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a percent of the population on this planet. You watch the videos of the carnage and there are people running TOWARDS the destruction to help out. (Thanks FAKE Gallery founder and owner Paul Kozlowski for pointing this out to me). This is a giant planet and we're lucky to live on it but there are prices and penalties incurred for the daily miracle of existence. One of them is, every once in awhile, the wiring of a tiny sliver of the species gets snarled and they're pointed towards darkness.

But the vast majority stands against that darkness and, like white blood cells attacking a virus, they dilute and weaken and eventually wash away the evil doers and, more importantly, the damage they wreak. This is beyond religion or creed or nation. We would not be here if humanity were inherently evil. We'd have eaten ourselves alive long ago.

So when you spot violence, or bigotry, or intolerance or fear or just garden-variety misogyny, hatred or ignorance, just look it in the eye and think, "The good outnumber you, and we always will."

This idiot left behind two unexploded explosives. So if the cameras don't catch him this evidence will. The problem with cameras are that it can't stop this type of act especially if the guy wants to kill him self he does not care if the is devices are watching him and innocent suffer. lots more then 3 are dead. looking at some unreleased to the public pics after the explosion i count at least 5 dead on the scene, lots of missing limbs, which are survivable, if you don't bleed out. but there is tons of blood too ... im sure some of them didnt make it.

looking at the calender, i have my suspicions as to who/what caused this. seems like a great day to make a point ....

If you're suggesting 'tax day' may be the motivation for this act, I can see your point.

However, we won't know until somebody comes out and takes responsiblity or publishes a 'manifesto'.
