Hey, we stayed at Tevake's condo in Kauai!
![]() I met my first American/Hawaiian/Kauaian Pelican earlier this week at his condo in Princeville....OK, I'm on the left....Tevake, Richard is on the right....and, can't forget about the sweet '80SC Targa! We were fortunate enough to stay for a day and a half at the end of our vacation at his beautiful and spacious 2 bdrm condo: ![]() Here's the view to the left from the lanai....a great place to take a walk and take in the beautiful sunsets while overlooking Hanalei Bay...make sure to bring along a Mai Tai!: ![]() Here's the view to the right....#6 Prince Course 450 yd par 4: ![]() All in all a great place to stay in Princeville on the North shore of Kauai for all you Pelicans considering a great vacation. The only thing I would highly recommend would be to pack along your pitching wedge, sand wedge, putter and a few balls so that you can practice your short game on #5 as you take in a beautiful sunset!.......something I'm sure to do next time.....maybe next April!....well, I'd have to probably clear that with Richard first!Mahalo Richard! ![]() Alex, Cheryl, and Lance Wilson Calgary

Aloha Alex, Thanks for posting the kind words and pics. It was good fun to meet you,
Cheryl, and especially Lance. Tell him hi for me. You are welcome back any time you can make it over. Great idea about the short game practice. I'll start soon so we can have a sunset shoot out during your next visit. Cheers Richard |

Mahalo Alex, very good of you to continue to help us in getting started with our Vacation rental biz. We appreciate your posting with VRBO also, big boost. And it is a good place to look for anyone planning a trip, just about any where. Certainly broadens the options beyond hotels.
We just are completing a deal for almost three months this early winter, the hardest part of the year to rent. So things are starting to move for us. WHEW! As with starting any business there is a tenuous period at first as the clients are starting to find you, and the calender is just beginning to get filled. The Visitor industry is definitely better this year, and seems to reflect an improving economy. Something of a relief for all of us to see. Hope this is a reflection of what you are all experiencing there on the mainland. Cheers Richard |

Hey Shane, Good to hear from you. I was thinking of making the targa available to Pelicans while here. But it still has some mechanical issues to sort out. Cold start issues, and there is an oil leak that causes big smoke when the exhaust gets hot. the smoke only lasts for a short while, but is really heavy for that while. I see an engine drop coming.
Plus haven't found insurance that will cover this at reasonable costs. At any rate you should get yourself over here again sometime when it not delugeing. Pretty sure there are some back roads you haven't driven yet :-) Cheers Richard Last edited by tevake; 04-22-2013 at 06:25 PM.. |

Yep, The Porsche wrenching guru that I've mentioned in other posts comes from the Toronto area and usually stays as long as he can in Jan, Feb and March. Plus my Sis in Law and family usually make it over each winter from Minnesota. Makes perfect sense to me. Not too big on winter myself. though I do like watching down hill skiing on the tube!
Give us a shout on your next visit Bob. Or better yet check out our condo. Cheers Richard Last edited by tevake; 04-22-2013 at 08:59 PM.. |

I'm kind of thinking that Bill was "into the piss " a bit himself last night
![]() But nice to have you back posting Bill. If anyone can steer me on to some insurance that will cover the Targa for this use, please let me know. I do find myself think often while traveling that it sure would be fun to get ahold of something fun to drive even for a day. Last edited by tevake; 04-24-2013 at 10:40 AM.. |
