The fact still remains, a smaller diameter scope, lighter in weight, more portable, would be a much better fit for you. An 8 inch Meade will show you more than your 14 inch all things considered, the rule of "more inches is always better" is not a real rule, it's a salesman's rule. Heck, if you have too much light pollution, get a super nice 6 inch refractor a do planetary work.

Would I give up my SC for a GT3RS? No. I daily drive my car, and the GT3RS would be worse that useless for me, just like a 14 inch Meade would be less than worthless to me compared to many other options.

here is what i put up when my neighbor decided to be a dumb a$$. this was in response to his little 9x12 in private property sign.

mine is a sheet of plywood, 4x8ft. he was such a dousche my other neighbor let me put it on her property. it just for fun. took it down after a few days.
all is good, but i dont think we will ever be good friends, all though i offer.

if he ever wants a light war i have several 500 watt lights aimed at his house.
they are really for my daughter to ride the horse at night if she wants or if we do anything in the yard. they rarely get turned on.

Strange. I am nobody and the hits are hard.
Either acknowledged or informed.
Curious.
If your neighbor is distending you, you should probably call the police.
