These moms and 911s remind me of a funny story.

I'd left my 911SC with Mom while I was away on holiday and asked her to take it for a drive every week or two. She said she came out of the supermarket and there was one exactly the same parked next to it. She said she got on the road and headed up state highway 2 then saw the other 911 close behind her in the mirror weaving left and right. She said the next thing it took off past her then went so fast it was out of sight in no time.

I said what, you didn't chase it, that's what the weaving is, it's make pretend racing car driver stuff. Poor Mom, I hope I didn't put her off driving the car.

At first blush, this might look like a bummer photo. It's absolutely not!

Dad only went home two or three times after his stroke; This is Easter 2009. The whole family gathered from around the Pacific Northwest and we had a great time. Every detail of that day worked out great, and I don't ever remember seeing mom happier.

She was a devoted caretaker to dad, going to the nursing home every single day (all day!) and we should all be so lucky if we're ever in need of that kind of love.

I miss you mom (and dad!) Happy Mothers Day!

Thanks for sharing that story, Mike, on this day for such great mothers like yours.

Your Mom was certainly a wonderful person.

Godspeed to both your parents.

My mom rocking the post chemo hair! She just finished her 8 month battle with breast cancer and kicked it's ass! She had 8 rounds of chemo, and 6 weeks of radiation. But she's a fighter, never let it get her down and worked through the whole ordeal!

Baz 05-11-2015 05:56 AM

^^ That's the best pic of the entire thread, Sid ^^

Please give her our very best regards - well done, Mom!

Has she tried Hemp oil?? That has literally saved my sisters life.

Well alittle over a year ago, battling 5 different cancers, at 83lbs,I was told not to make plans for the month of June, some 6 months away, that they didn't believe I'd make it till May!,well,it's May,1year beyond their projected date,I'm 129lbs and Still Here! I surely would have been gone had I followed the doctors treatments, but having had lung cancer before, I decided I wasn't gonna let them radiate me from my neck to my knees,I also resisted their persistence about them wanting to cut into 3of my tumors,in 3 different places to establish a time line, knowing it would cause the cancers to metastasize. Instead, I'm using the cannibinoid oil, shrinking my tumors, gaining and maintaining weight, feeling OK most of the time. I ran out of the oil for a month, the systoms began to return, the pain had me rolled up in a ball,so I took 1 pain pill,a narcotic,a oxicotton from my safe...OH MY,that thing was HORRIBLE!, it unlocked my lungs, which the oxygen couldn't, eased my pain,BUT IT SUCKED!, my head felt as if I had a hang over for 2 DAYS!,I promptly flushed the rest of that junk down the toilet! I have the oil that came from God and man to thank for still being here, prayers from family and friends, God's grace, my best bud for dragging me away from the couch often, and all the love I've been shown, everyone who has had my back,Thankyou with all my Heart,it's been a long battle, it's still a big battle ahead, but I'm WINNING THIS FIGHT!, PLEASE keep the prayers coming, may God Bless Everyone, xoxox jaye..
