It's great to see so many people who had great relationships with their mothers.
I never really liked my mom and I'm not going back through a bunch of albums looking for a picture of her.

I posted a pic of my parents, but that didn't mean I (or my sisters) had such a good relationship with them. Whether it's a good or bad relationship is just something everybody has to go through in life. You can't pick your parents, & they can't pick their kids. I didn't think about that until I was older and began to notice the differences in how my friends parents treated them.

This is one of my favorite old-time photos of my mom - with my sister and me at our grandparents' house in Colombia, 1978 or 79. My mom is still awesome and happily living the retired life in Florida.

While not universal, this thread confirms to me that "eyes" don't grow old...they may twinkle a bit less, but they still do.

I am truly envious of you all that still have your parents. Lost both mine early in my youth. If you haven't spoken to them for a while, please call them. I would love to get just five minutes with both of them to tell them things I never said. One of my greatest regrets.
