Hehehe. My old rig has elliptical chain rings. I like them.

Anyone know what the fine is for feeding the stage winner inside 10k from the finish? I have to wonder if Quintana had been fed might he not have cracked???

48:35 up last 15 kms of Mont Ventoux. Then Froome (and Quintana) both needed oxygen for several minutes.

Record for Mont Ventoux in a TdF is Lance Armstrong 48:33, then Contador 48:57, then Armstrong/Pantani 48:59. Two of those times are invalid, of course. No record of wind conditions which could be hugely significant.

Not sure what the all time record is, but a ride that doesn't first have 150 kms of racing isn't really comparable.

Why would the times be invalid?

I think Contador's time was during one of his two valid TdF wins, not the one that was stripped. The LA times were, of course, otherwise.

Froome wins TT, game, set, match. Unless a crash or some other drama that might play out in the next bunch of stages in the mtns, you have your TDF winner.

Contador came back strong today and should have a solid first loser position, second place with his team mate third.

The changing bikes thing makes it seem like Formula 1. Not sure how I feel about it.

That bike swap just like cyclocross.

So anyhow, on a detour today le souyther' Wisconsin and what's this going on? Small town, roads closed off, freaky weird seemed all the stores and not so sure of the eatery's... but the place was desolate yet here we find cycle road races! Hot as in 95 with dripping humidity... looked tough on a few riders. Couldn't stay for long but took a few pics.

In the sidewalk in front of a great little ice-cream store

pro Cat 1 sup ??

As I mentioned... HOT.... staging in the shade but in front of a funeral home. Registration was at a church. Say your prayers and hope you don't drop! LOL

Good. .....Bye, bye Mark
Tour De France was my guess, but I didn't think that 2013 is the 100th anniversary?
