I have usually shown my 22 yo daughters boyfriends ( she does a pretty good job picking them)
my dirty harry 44 and ask them if they ever heard the line "it'll take your head clean off" from the movie as I hand it to them unloaded with the chamber open. Usually evokes a deer in the headlights response. The latest, really nice kid BTW, First came over the weekend after Sandy Hook which is 4 miles from my house so I passed. He knows how I feel about her though

Every Mother wants her son to bring home a girl who is just like she was at that age.

Every Father is afraid his daughter will bring home a guy who is just like he was at that age.

That is pretty much it.

It was a milestone weekend. Met one daughters boyfriend and then on Sunday took the 9y/o to summer camp for the week. It is her first time to be away for more than a night. Mom seemed more anxious than the girl. It sure seems quiet.

2 bags of lime sitting by the backhoe usually does it.

Ask him if he knows what it's for, if he doesn't, tell him to Google it.

this was my point ....

and a daughter of yours would not be attracted to a guy like me, thus she would never bring me home. probably goes both ways too ... i am not one for women who come from families with your political and religious backgrounds.

it all tends to works its way out ... again, unless someone is being an idiot.

I think we know who is being an idiot.

I plan on asking the prospective suitor to help me with a little job, washing one of my vehicles. After an hour of this I'll say... "my daughter is no dummy and must think a lot of you. As I think her opnion of you counts for much, I've gotta ask you something. We've just spent an hour attending to a dumb, senseless machine. Do you think I'd let you take it on a two day road trip? Please respect my daughter with 100 times the amount of care, please.

i don't know what this is supposed to mean?

would you think your daughter is an idiot to bring a guy like me home? im gonna bet yes.

i would equally never date a girl who had your political and religious slants, because i would think shes an idiot.

so the only way there is a reason to be worried/concerned is if someone is being an idiot. which was ... my original point.

Seriously.... just stop. Every time you post you make yourself look worse.

My daughter is 14. She knows the right traits to seek out. I'm helping her ID early signs of alcoholism, abusive behaviour and such. She is a crack pistol shot, bowman, knife handler and knows how to deploy mace. I do not worry too much.
