that's kind of what I figured. here's a picture of the rest of the car right after I loaded it up.

been sitting for over 30 years. on the way home, I stopped at a tire place and bought some used tires so that I could roll it off the trailer a lot easier.

the original owner was involved in SCCA racing in the late 50's and early 60's here in so-cal. (affiliated with the Old Yeller cars).

I'll probably keep it updated up here....

finally had some time work on it...spent a few hours on it over the last couple of days.

the car has been sitting since 1983 in the desert. every piece of rubber is completely dry. the engine was not seized, so I drained and replaced the oil. I removed the carb, and gave it good cleaning. ran over to pepboys and bought a new coil and spark plugs, and grabbed a spare set of plug wires I had laying in the garage.

I removed the starter and cleaned the contacts on it....checking the operation of it, of course. the starter worked. I checked the compression on all of the cylinders....good.

anyway, after about 2 hours of monkeying around with it, I shot some ether down the carb, cranked it over, and sure enough, it fired up and ran on starting fluid.... time to dig in some more...

well...working 6 days a week, 0 time to do anything, and a ton of other projects...the Lancia is just about gone. 7 hours to go on ebay. It'll be a good project for somebody who has the time. The car is amazing. It'll be awesome when somebody else takes the reigns.

I still have my 912 project which means more to me. ..and the Fcar to go get groceries with once a week.
