Saw a Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T R-Spec Today

'Don't think I paid this rig any mind...sure was nice-looking...all white and clean.
Saw it first in my rear view mirror and wondered...

Note the serious looking brakes. I like good brakes.

I drove a 2.0T base about a month ago, there is a lot to like and I'd buy one except for the boy-racer, wanna-be look.

Drove a 3.8 version and it had horrible understeer, but the 2.0 might be better with much less front end weight.

I think given a choice I would have a hard choice between the Subaru BRZ and the 2.0 Genesis. Both great cars for the money (operative work is for the money...it's not a Porsche but for $25K both cars are a kick in the pants).

I don't get the "boy racer" image. Every one of those boy racers would buy a 911 if they could afford one.... We all start somewhere.

My mechanic likes them but says "they go a bit floppy after 100,000 kilometers." I think that's about 80,000 miles. Whereas a Toyota is just starting to get good around that sort of milage.

Not familiar with the car, but I will say, Hyundai is quickly shedding its image as an 'also ran' in the industry. Their efforts in the luxury band are making headway.
