Can you give me some ideas for a bachelor party?
I'm coordinating the stag party for a future brother-in-law. It's his third marriage. Same for my wife's sister. The couple met on an online dating site. He's in his early sixties, she in her mid fifties and both have grown children. I am hoping to have it in Vegas, Reno or San Francisco. A lot of it depends on the availability of my other 4 brothers-in-law. We are all in our forties and fifties.
I want the party to be classy and respectful to our wives but I don't want it to be boring either even though we are a bunch of middle aged farts. Please give me some ideas. TIA. |

My favorite bachelor party included plenty of fishing, a round of golf and some skeet shooting.....as well as a fair amount of good scotch and Cuban cigars.....no silly strip clubs or drinking till we throw up kinda stuff......40 year old plus age guys was a buddies second marriage and the ladies meet us at the golf club's restaurant for an outdoor steak night BBQ, was very nice!

Maybe the guys would enjoy a day at a professional driving/ racing school.

I think the above posts are right on. Schedule something that is an experience. The most memorable bachelor party I went to was exploring a cave. Not a lot of naked chicks down there. We stayed out of trouble.

We did a comedy club and then telling tall tales in a pub.
That said, if you are traveling, I like the ideas above. Some speed, target shooting, a bar/pub where you can actually talk.. ![]() What about some sort of desert buggy excursion. Jeeps/rails, etc...

IF you can find a common interest. Otherwise a nice outing followed by dinner. In San Fran you could do any number of day activities and eat well. In Vegas you could do anything from hike Red Rock to shoot machine guns to driving karts and cars. Any kind of cars, race cars and exotics. I'm sure Reno has much of what Vegas has but depending on the season, you could hunt or fish that day.

Best bachelor party I ever attended we got on a tour bus, played poker and drank on the ride from LI to AC, got there around midnight, partied and gambled till dawn, got back on the bus and slept till we got back to LI.
Everyone had a great time and no one got in trouble.
