Piloti Driving Shoes

I've had these for awhile, and they do not seem to be breaking in like I thought they would. Is there a trick to getting these things soft and flexible?

I love my wrestling shoes for driving, but they look silly with most clothing.

Thanks

I've softened lots of leather in my days by using two different products:
.
- Ko-Cho-Line Leather Dressing (pronounced Coach o leen) for horse tack.
.
Ko-Cho-Line Leather Dressing
.

.
.
and
.
- Lexol liquid spray...saturating the leather.
.

.
Warm the items up (sun or oven) and lay it on. Good luck...

I have a suede pair and I consider them more paddock shoes than driving shoes. Or fun run driving shoes. I have a pair of sparrow for actual track driving. The soles are too thick on the pilotis.

My Piloti shoes are by far (not even close) the best shoes I have ever had. I look at ebay all the time hoping another pair will show up in my size...I knew I should have bought more when they were on sale but who knew they were going out of business!

Thanks for the input guys

I'm a bit nervous to try Lexol, as the shoes are a suede(ish) material. I'll have to do some searching to see if the Lexol is safe to use...or I'll use it on a tiny area to see if anything happens.

I looked on the inside of the tongue, and it does say leather uppers... The leather feels so much like a very short nap suede. I might try the Lexol after all (on an inconspicuous area).

I'm not a complete moron... The suede shoes I have had in the past said "suede" for the material used in the upper part of the shoe.

You might be right about the stiffness. How do yours feel after having them for a while?

Not 'driving' shoes, but the best motorcycle racing boots I ever owner felt like ballet slippers.
Made from supple Italian leather, I loved them...not much protection but great feel from the thin soles and uppers.

mine's stiff! hahah. seriously, my shoes are pretty stiff. helps me miss those double clutch moves with perfect aplomb. i've been wearing them alot lately, just around so things could change.
