Go to the Union Oyster House in Government Center off the Red Line. Oldest continually operated restaurant in America. Its like a 50 foot walk from the station.
Sushi in Boston, you've got to be kidding me. Clams/mussels/lobster= Legal Seafood or the Union Oyster House.

Yep, there is great sushi to be had in Boston. Oysters too!
Jyl, I didn't catch where you had the bad experience. Do you mind telling? |

Worse story: I was in Boston for 8 days on a commercial shoot. Some good meals, a few awful ones. Got a hankering for anything Mexican. Hotel concierge sends me to Faneuil Hall area. "Mexican food" at the bar I was sent to consists of nachos made with Doritos and squirt cheese.
Safest bet when not in a reliable Japanese food area is sashimi. Hard to screw that up!
