they made millions of them, and there are plenty left, so do what you want with it. it's your car and your idea. no business of anyone else what you do with your property.

Another vote for "no chop" here. But if a chopped '32 has been a longtime dream, go for it. Personally, it makes my neck hurt just to look at somebody driving one all hunched over. Maybe discomfort doesn't have to be part of the deal if everything is planned out and detailed measurements provide for a low seat mounting. I would definitely cruise a few shows and ask owners if you can sit inside to evaluate various layouts.

Do an image search and you will see that 99% of them are chopped. It would be so cool to do something different. I would definitely leave the fenders on, but here's an approach to consider:

I think this is about as sweet as it gets...

John,
Thos are totally gorgeous. I had a 'momentary' thought about a mild street rod mod of my 49 Chev half ton...no chop though. I've left it looking pretty much stock and really only made safety mods...front disc brake and R&P steering.

While the car is in relatively good shape for being 83 years old, it is by no means a pristine restoration. The car sat inside a barn and believe me the custom velour interior smells like it. I also got the blessing to hot rod it from the 84 year old farmer I bought it from.
As far as buying a body from Brookville, a 32 coupe is 25k. This was a good comprimise between a really poor A and a new steel body. It will still be costly to bring up what I have.
The only certainty right now is the body being repaired and chopped. It will have a manual transmission. As far as engine most likely small block Chevy, but early hemi is a thought. Maybe even cadillac. I first need to get there. I hope to send out the body to be dipped in December and from there body work. It's going to take some time.

Here's the interior...absolutely stinks. Some kind of rodents had used it as a house complete with bathroom. I've already ripped out all of the carpet and seating from the rumble seat. The interior is next, after I get some fall house work done.

Inside of door...surface rust but very solid no patch panels
