Ultimate Chevy barn find in Nebraska

Over 500 cars. Some with virtually 0 miles. Should be interesting to see what some of these ultra low mile cars bring.

Lambrecht Chevrolet, Pierce Nebraska

Lambrecht Chevrolet of Pierce, Neb., was like many Midwestern, small-town dealers — owned and operated by a family, with minimal overhead and little need for advertising since most customers were neighbors. Ray and Mildred Lambrecht ran the dealership with just one employee for 50 years before closing up, and later this year the Lambrechts will sell off a trove of 500-odd vehicles they've held onto over the decades — including roughly 50 with less than 10 miles on their odometers. It's less a car sale than a time capsule auction.

Reportedly the collection includes 12 chevy vegas, each with less than 10 miles on them. Unfortunately they all have head gasket leaks and siezed engines.

I'd love to own that brand new '64 Impala but it will probably go for major 6-figures. I might go to the preview day if I can...this is a slice of American history frozen in time that one will never see again.

What would it take to get a 50 year old car running? Seems like it would be agonizing to drive one at all, watching the miles pile up.

I had to strain to keep from hitting the close button. Do women come any more stupid than her?

I wouldn't mind having a few of those rides. It's hard to believe they were in business for 50 years with only one employee.

"An duh" ..... "And uh"

Amazing collection.... I would go for the pick-up....

When I took a mandatory public speaking course when I was in Junior High School, It was drilled into my head that when you paused between thoughts and sentences... "An duh and And uh" no no's and this woman proves it...

We had to give speeches in front of the class that were taped, then on subsequent classes the tapes were played... and the class critiqued them

I was mortified when I heard how many "And uhs An duhs" I said...

It was a lesson I took to heart....

Interesting how a dealer had all those old cars stored...for so many years...why? they just take up room on the shop floor....

Space is an infinite frontier in Pierce, Nebraska. Storage is not an issue.

Terrible video, but insane that there are still finds like that to be had. Many treasures are hidden in small towns.

I want to buy the whole dealership and everything in it, clean up and restore the building and put the cars back on the showroom floor with the window stickers. This just makes my heart ache...what a slice of 20th century America, never to be repeated.
