car lot is like a pawn shop. If you think you are going to get a fair shake on a trade it isn't gonna happen. They are in the biz to buy low and sell high.

+1 to carmax - good, simple, up-front and no BS.

I can't stand dealing with the public and I can't stand dealing with the majority of dealers. Carmax is a very good option.

No affiliation - I bought my DD 7 years ago from them and I'll go back for my next one. I won't even consider anyone else. Not worth the time, effort or hassle to maybe get one or two thousand off tops. I just don't care and value my sanity and time more than that.
