That's funny, Hugh.

I think that you can get some products not available here just by going outside of L.A. county. I'm actually going through this right now with another job where I need to partially re-stain the outside of a house that has oil stain on it. It's a tudor with the dark stained exterior wood up in Coldwater Canyon, only the parts that get the sun need refinishing. 75% of the house is shaded by trees and looks like new. I can't get solid color stain in oil anymore here, really frustrating.

I spoke to my painter about it last year, it was available in Kern county. Call a paint store up there.
