Go tearing out into a howling January ice storm to attempt to prop up the leaning stud walls of the barn under construction when some of the braces gave way.

When the walls came down, at least I was standing between two of the studs.

When I was 8, I found an old power cord in the garbage. I put paperclips in it, hooked it up to a 9 volt batter, then plugged it in....at my friend's house. It recharged the battery, as far as I could tell. It only occurred to me later that day that his dad yelling at him in Hindi and his lights going out might have been related to my experiment.

My dad, an electrical guru, was out in the barn when I did it. I remember lights getting dim in the house, sparks and flames spewing out of the wall, and being knocked on my butt by the electrocution. He came running in...he knew exactly what was happening. Learned my lesson on that one....

It was only 25 amperes received on my end. Blew the breaker and done. Learned a lot about alternating current that day.

Buy the first Miata we looked at... $4200 for Miata... $4000 in repairs... still have at least $1500 in upgrades I want to do.

However when I'm done it will have all the parts I want on it, it should be like new and good for another 100K miles.
