What the heck are boxer briefs?

I have boxers and briefs. Never heard of boxer briefs, and yet several of you have mentioned them. Are they short boxers, or long briefs, or... ?

Here is some interesting reading on the subject.

Let me google that for you

I wear boxers to work, and boxer briefs for my 7-mile runs. Boxer briefs are some of the best things ever invented for being active.

Update... Under Armour

Gave them another shot. Must have responded to all the complaints on their website. Seems to be a nice product again.

Ordered two pair of the boxer/briefs from Duluth. At that price they should feel like they are giving me a handjob.

Hugh,

You'll be happy with them. A little price but who could argue with comfort?

I loves me some boxer briefs. I've worn them for years and I find them a perfect compromise.

Reporting Back.

Got the two pairs of Duluth Boxer/Briefs. They are VERY comfortable. I've worn briefs forever and yesterday my old Haines or BVD or whatever briefs were chaffing me big time around the nads after 14 hours of standing around a Set. Wore the Duluth ones today, and because of the longer length, there isn't an elastic in that area to chafe. Besides the Duluth being very smooth and soft, they fit well. But at $25 per, I'd look at other stuff. I think I'm not going to be buying regular briefs anymore. Good fitting boxer/briefs fit just fine with your regular jeans.

Not quite a handjob like I posted in #67 above, but at least they feel like some soft female hand is looking after them.

To me, $25 sounds like a bargain

I schit you not. I'm about ready to toss my 20 or 30 pairs of old tired, stretched out ragged briefs and start with new boxer/briefs! I'll check out the local department store and see what they have and maybe try a pair or two. But I've got to tell you the Duluth ones are really nice. I could pull the trigger on $300 worth easily. And I'm a 60 year old ex-Marine!

I've tried a couple of different pairs of boxer briefs in the past. Darn, Darn hot, and the legs slide up and bunch up at the top of the thighs. Horrible torture devices!

Hah!, those gusset crotched pants are made the same as the old Chuck Norris jeans that were advertised in all of the Karate magazines back in the 80s.

Thanks for the review Hugh. I hope everyone did not think I was a little "off". But, the Duluth boxer briefs are the most comfortable underwear I have ever worn. and I thought I'd let the world know.

Next is my crew sock review.
