Porsche 996 twin turbo, GT2 body upgrades, 19" wheels, big brakes

Seems cheap

Dare I say, given the miles and the mods, it seems reasonable.

Can you make 944s disappear? Because that's what it will take :(

Nice Boxster.

Looks nice, but that's damn pricey for a tip non-S 986. I should have an immaculate 987 in my hands later today that won't sell for a huge amount more, and you can find a nice 986S for less.

Hey, who am I to stop someone from paying too much for the most undesirable Boxster model?:p

porsche4life 08-25-2014 04:25 PM

First rule of sales... Give the people what they want! ;)

onewhippedpuppy 08-25-2014 04:34 PM

A salesman I am not.

Great color, sport seats, nice painted console and aluminum trim. Unfortunately it also has fugly chrome wheels and is at least $5k overpriced.

He dropped the price $5k. Must have read this thread. :) Link

Thoughts on this one? Location sucks and it's a '99 but it's a lot of car for the money. Still no bites. Ideas?

$18,995.

Closest place for a PPI is Portland.

Don't know if this car is on the verge of an IMS failure or what, but could be a great deal:

1999 Porsche 911... Carrera

Tiptronic car with 140k+ miles? 11k seems about right. Not a terribly desireable car, IMO.

onewhippedpuppy 09-08-2014 05:09 AM

I might go so far as to say that car is overpriced. Not so much because of miles, but because of the tip. The used market is not kind to automatic Porsches.

Paul K 09-17-2014 09:27 PM

Sold for $16.5k. Price included an extra set of 17" OEM ten spoke rims with nearly new snow tyres.

Number one would be done pretty quickly - from the listing...

“Just under 168,900 miles. Runs and Drives Great. Body 9.5/10, Interior 8/10, All Electronics & Feartures Work! Prior Salvage Title - front right accident fixed and inspected. Check engine light is on. Starter is slow, always starts, just turns slow at first - common. Coolant light sometimes comes on indicating low coolant even if coolant is full. (blinks 1hz). Plastic in FR wheel well is broken.FR side blinker does not work. Small Scuff in Clear Coat on Drivers Door. One set of rims have curb Rash - 2 sets of Rims & Tires included. Rod knock - Mostly noticeable at 2500-3000 rpm if you "bump" on the gas you hear a rattle. Rides very tight, very good drivetrain, no rattles or squeaks. The car's drivetrain has been meticulously gone through. New coils, spark plugs, air oil separator, K&N air filter-stock engine. All gauges work 100%. Traction control ($5k option) works great.Transmission is great, clutch is newer. Glass has mild tint. Body 9.5/10. Interior 8/10-driver seat wear”

So, that's not even a $10k car, sorry ...

This seems like a good deal:

The car is here in Saudi Arabia.

Asking is 85,000 Riyals ($22,600). Probably would let it go for $20,000.

Mother of God. How much to ship/import, more or less? I'd be in, if the costs were decent.
