Yeah, saw that. Looks like he took a pic of someone's car on the street, made the post, and knows nothing about the cars. It happens.

Thanks guys, was camping all weekend so I will get some pictures here soon.
The power delivery is very linear and smooth, much different than my 964T. Bill |

Matt, when it came to air cooled turbos, the mechanic I used in Charlotte would say to walk away if it was not 100% stock. The eBay car is appears to be heavily modified. You still think it is a good deal?

It just had a flash, which is super common on the TT. The first car linked had over 700 HP worth of goodies and is probably a good buy at $39k.
Everything I have seen on the TT indicates that they are incredibly stout cars, even when modified. Really I think the driveline becomes the weak link when you have huge HP, especially if you do hard launches. I'm sure there's a point when you start breaking internal components, but I think the stock limits are pretty high.

The $30K looked like a good deal. Hopefully I can get another one day before prices go up.
The good news about buying a well sorted modified car is that you buy those mods for $.50 on the dollar, provided that's what you want. BTDT with my 930. |
