This seems like a good deal.
Should be in the "Affordable 997 Thread". But a great deal!

Looks like a decent deal for a daily driver...

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/888058-fs-1999-996-c2.html

Unlike a lot of the 10-12k cars I've seen...

Hmm something is amiss on the 996TT

When I brought it home....

Hmmmmm, something seems to have fallen off while driving to the airport, the welds gave way as the clamp was still on the pipe.

After discovering that Porsche must create these from solid gold, I went to ebay and found a used set from a GT2 or Turbo S. The stains on the floor are from the Liquid Wrench I put on to loosen up the tips, will have to clean that up.

I think it looks better than the oval stock ones.

Bill

Big improvement Bill, sometimes these things happen for a reason.

If you want to clean up the back end even more, have the bumperettes color matched to the body by bumperplugs. It's the same look as the later 996 and 997, much cleaner than the black. They also sell rear wiper delete kits if you find your rear wiper to be as pointless as I did.

If the turbo engine is so durable, why pay a premium for a low mileage car?

But that is a nice looking turbo....

Because other people pay premiums for low mileage cars, as unfounded as it may be, so if you ever want to sell...

Speed yellow could also be a large chunk of the premium too

Would a $15-20,000 996 be a better deal? Possibly better maintenance and condition?
Can you imagine how perfect a 996 would be if the seller was asking a $million?

Awesome car but the price seems high. You've gotta put a NSFW warning with links to cars that hot!

BUT, if you buy it to actually drive, you quickly lose that premium you paid for a low mileage car. If you buy as an investment......you probably shouldn't be looking at 996s.

Though with that said the GT3 is going up pretty quickly, and I think the TT has hit rock bottom.
