My weekend project
I've been planning to deal with this for some time. I'd looked for an off-the-shelf solution but couldn't find one. Finally last weekend I bit the bullet and did something about it.
The rat's next of wires and power supplies behind my entertainment system was a tangled mess. Cleaning the floor was almost impossible. It was unacceptable. ![]() First I organized the wires, consolidated those that I could tie together, and attached them and the power supplies to the wall. ![]() Then I built a 4 sided box to slip over the mess and hide it. I would have liked to have consolidated more wires so there were only 2 or three bundles going into the box, but they weren't long enough. I was able to tuck the wires up into the box so they aren't on the floor so I can vacuum under them.

Nice job, looks very organized now. My wife asked me just the other day, what happened in the computer room? I replied with, "why? is something wrong?" She replied with, " yes, it looks like a wire factory exploded." Guess it's time to straighten it up like you did.

Ive always enjoyed organizing cables. I can't ever get them perfect, but with a couple of hours time and a handful of zip ties, at least I can troubleshoot......
