Happy New Year guys. It's about 12:04, wife went to bed with a stomach ache, kids watching bad new year's eve shows and I'm here with you. Shows you what it's all come down to!

I'm what I'd call a fair weather shopper. I've always liked the 2002's but never owned one. I presume fairly light weight and perhaps a fun little back-road carver with some affordable suspension mods. Not sure I have the time or enthusiasm to scour the country-side to find one though. If something pops up within a couple hours, sure...worth an afternoon.

Seahawk...will send you a pm with e-mail addy. Not sure where that car is or what kind of scratch is required, but with the first of 3 in college this year, fun-money ain't what it once was!

Here's to a great 2014 to all of us!

I have owned a 2002 and a early 320i. That being said, if I could only choose one to look at in my car museum, it would be the 2002. If only given the option of driving one for the rest of my life, it would be a '77 320i with a 4spd tranny and side draft carbs. Hands down this would be the funnest, most reliable of the two without having to do a crap load of mods to either one...

Huh??? I would consider it one of the worst from BMW. Going back to the era but can tell you it was one of the worst cars I've owned. To begin with, I remember the heater and dash controls were in constant repair. Drive shaft joints problematic, leaking rear trans seals and the worst being the engine oil pump. They hardly had oil pressure at idle and the dealers (yes, plural) told me it was normal. But by the time mine had just some 30,000 miles the oil press. light was constant on at idle... again was told it was normal AND confirmed by BMW. I sold it soon after. A few years later I talked to the buyer and he told me that the car blew up in just a few months after purchase.

The one I wish to have kept was a '66 2000 tiLux. Similar and the same color to this stock photo. Nicely appointed trim and carbed for a bit more power. It was only 10 hp down vs. the injected Tii.
