Just buy a new dohicky, like others said.

You'd be AMAZED at what pops up if you go to google and do a search for "battery terminal bolt".

Here's the first link in the list
Battery Terminal Bolt | AutoZone.com

He said nuts... huh... huh-huh...

And to those of you rolling their eyes, the OP question was answered in the first few replies, any auto parts store would most likely have what he wants on the shelf.

Now lets all go smoke a fatty

I bet any flaps carry something like that pretty cheap.

Thanks but I need METRIC. I cannot find metric ones or the entire bolt/nut assembly at a local FLAPS or by using Google. I am not new to cars, just have heard this called a shoulder nut before but can't find anything - it is not shown in your pic Mr. Holloway.

Thanks to the PARF-hater-kids for bumping the thread so others can help.

If anyone knows of a source, please post.

Just replace the nut AND bolt (or the whole terminal). Then it doesn't have to be metric. Or, if you are really set on the metric nut, go to a u-pull-it type junk yard and find something on an import that's the right size Or use a washer (or a couple if necessary.

Every Auto parts store I have ever been in sells Battery Terminal Bolts.....come with the nuts less than two bucks for a set....Will be in a little blister pack hanging on a wall or a rotary display. Motormite / Doorman is the most common brand name.
