Multiple witnesses have already said that there was no physical contact during the altercation. The old guy with the power trip and a side arm shouldn't have started anything to begin with. Let's say the victim threw his phone at the old guy, does that warrant a shot to the chest?

Where are the witnesses saying that is got physical? How do you know he was being loud? Why give the shooter the benefit of the doubt?

Shooter clearly overreacted based on what we currently know. But it's not starting anything to ask someone to put their phone away in a movie theatre. If his key strokes made a racket or his display was shining in the old man's face behind him, whatever. Put the damned phone away when you walk in and certainly don't be an ass about it if someone asks you to do so.

My mom thought I was out of line for speaking sharply to the doosh who parked right between two gas pumps so no one could use the one he wasn't using. Those jerks need to be called out, since they obviously made it too far in life thinking the world revolves around them.

Reportedly his wife was shot/hit because she was trying to restrain him and had her arm around him. If he were not attacking the older man or at least threatening him...why would she need to do so?

I totally agree with you're saying. Dooshes are dooshes and they should be called out without fear of confrontation. I think there should also be some allowance for a 40 year old guy to be able to say in response "hey I was texting my baby-sitter or daughter, it's the previews bug off" and the situation not escalate from there.

Not much.

We'll see how it plays out but I don't see how SYG can be applied here - and it seemed to be confirmed by LE and the state. That was my take away from the interview.

Haven't read that there were witnesses stating she was trying to restrain him. If that is true then that is something, but does that warrant a bullet in the chest?

I heard it was texting....then yelling at, throwing stuff at, and basically confronting the shooter. You're saying he was talking also? Not good....

Maybe he should have just apologized.

Ok, so your at movie and have a problem with someone there. You've gone and asked for help but it's clear your on your own. It's dark and kinda hard to see, a confrontation starts, and a younger much larger man gets so angry his wife is grabbing him trying to hold him back. He's fighting threw her trying to get to you then you get smacked upside the head by something you can't see. Did he just tried to stab you and just missed or did he punch you? Do you defend yourself? Run and hide? You have a split second to decide in the dark. Are you being attacked? How far is this guy going to go? Does he have a gun? A knife? I was not there I do not know what happened. But I understand how it could get the point of someone getting shot.
