Citroens_bunchofem for sale! Cheeeep!

Wow. Banks is a tiny little dairy town about 30 miles west of Portland.

Someone there loves/loved French engineering!

Citroens 5 of them

Bwahahahaha! Does CL offer green font?

These turds have been sitting in the Oregon damp for 15 years, someone is willing to take them off his hands and he'll part with them all .... but for the beige one?

Oxymoron. Especially when it comes to cars.

I think there are only VERY few cars I'd ever consider. I don't think Citroen is one of them. There are some in the Renault / Alpine lineup ... that's it.

Citerons on a container. Like some bizarre form of art.

That model was actually a huge advancement in auto design and quite revolutionary. Shame to see them in such sad shape.

Agree.

This was cutting edge stuff in the mid 50's.

Very advanced, especially for a mass produced automobile.

Sad...

Agree also. Had passenger rides in the 60's in one of them. Most comfortable passenger ride I ever had. The shape predated the 911 bodies, and it is so similar, that it could be construed that Porsche took it as a template.

There's a surprising amount of DS's on the roads in Portland.

I actually think these are very cool cars.

But "cheap" and "old citroen" do not belong in the same sentence... And this is coming from someone who has owned both British and Italian cars!

I'm sure an ambitious person could SLOWLY multiply his money by parting those out.

It's weird when you think about it - a simple twist of fate might have given those cars the iconic status that the 911 now enjoys. I never ever read a magazine article about them that didn't rave about how far ahead of their time they were and all the clever features that they employed.

I don't know about where you live but it's a real "look at me, look at me" wankers car around here. I guess because it's different it gets noticed, and a bit retro, and appeals to the wankers.

This. If you have the space. And the inclination to strip down a POS x 5

When i was a teenager my uncle saw one and started blathering on how cool they were and how awesome the technology was etc.
I said "it looks like ****" (excrement).

I doubt either opinion has changed since then.
I'd rather drive a pacer or gremlin. Even an aztek would be better than a citroeouoen.
