Cool The '70's, Lime Green VW Bug, Stylin' Hipster

nothing to hide, I was damn proud of this car back in highschool, in 3 years I went through 3 clutches and two trannies.......big bore 1835 and a loud as sin Monza cherry bomb exhaust.......grins, learning to go slideways with the right steer foot and the e-brake.

a Skateboard was my engine stand and we timed our engine pulls. (11-12 minutes to drop it for another coat of Krylon on everthing in the engine compartment).

this was a fun car, first auto I ever owned at 16, bought it cash I saved up.

Lime Green with a Red Velour Interior? wow. wide leg pants to boot.

Welcome to 1978 and high school in the 70's, chick magnet it was...........grins.

Gene Berg was the VW king of drags.

I'm digitizing some old family Super 8 movies.

"yup, lets get it shiny and go out cruising, then later to the drive-in theater...."

read the comments for all the fiberglass "Corvette Summer" effects

Nice car. I would have been jealous back in '75. Heck, I'm a little jealous now!

That "A" pillar is sure getting some love!

If my dad wasn't dead, I'd kill him now..........

he sold a '57 oval window soft top VW for $400 in running and good condition, but that was back in the late 60's/early 70's.

Classis Hippie VW spiral bound must have VW repair Bible.......mine was covered in greasy finger prints front to back side to side.
