There are oil drilling/pumping operations in LA and offshore but no fracing as far as I know.

They do subsurface H2O injection to float oil at the Long beach harbor (THUMS), and all over the kern river production fields, and all over the san-wa-keen valley production area.
But i don't know if actual fracking is part of that procedure or not.

You guys are talking like CA has never had earthquakes. Fracking was obviously to blame for the 1906 San Francisco earthquake as well.

Pumping out all of that oil from under California will stop the tectonic plates from sliding over each other, and thus stop all CA earthquakes. Don't question me on this - lubrication is science, and that science is settled- the earthquakes will all stop when the last of the slippery oil is pumped out.
