My wife is in Oregon and called me freaking out... I was asleep...

Did anyone in L.A. feel it?

Knocked over a couple pictures here but no damage.

120 small quakes total.....felt the larger, 10 second rumble. No biggie.....the Dodgers were playing and Vinnie did a play by play.....no one in the crowd said a word.

Pretty much a non event but a slow news day and the networks went off on it.

I am surprised that when I am in Palm Springs I have noticed many overhanging rocks that could fall on houses and trailer parks. It would not take much to shake them loose due to an earthquake. :eek:G.

No big deal. I'm actually surprised it was a 5.1.

I felt a soft rumble, but was sitting in an unpadded wood dining room chair on a hard surface. Lying in bed, or otherwise being in motion I probably would not have. Also surprised it was that big.

Hard jolt, short duration = close but small.
Rolling motion, long duration = big but far away.
Hard jolt, long duration = look for cover!

I felt a slight shake in my motel room in Mojave. At first I wasn't sure what was going on but then I remembered I'm at the left coast.

Another one just rolled through, I felt this one, but then I'm downtown and on the third floor.

They must be fracking some oil/gas wells in L.A./OC.

The quake was 5 miles deep, doan usually frack down that fer........

@ Scott - are you sure it's still called San Andreas Fault? Being California, I'm fairly certain it's been renamed as Bush's Fault. :cool: ba'dum-chinggg...
