I guess it would be fairly easy to draw conclusions about me, and pigeon hole me into your favorite stereotypes based purely upon what you see me on or in on any given day.
The current fleet: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Every last one of those things has its share of negative stereotypes assigned to it. So where do I fit? I well remember my psych prof's comments about those who assign negative stereotypes to others or other groups. Serious self-worth issues, desperately searching for anyone over whom they can feel superior, and all of that kind of stuff. I think having gotten to "know" most of you on this crazy little slice of the interwebs, and seeing who among you are beating this tired old dead horse into the ground, serves to validate what that old man tried to teach me oh so many years ago. Get over yourselves. Other folks are just out there having fun, in their own way. It's not their fault you have created such miserable existences for yourselves that the only solace you can find is to put them down.

Another notable characteristic of this tribe Jeff, is their humourlessness when having their collective chain yanked.

Oh, man. All I can imagine is seeing Stuart's mouth around the tip of my red-hot Thunderheader (I'm sure it would fit) as I revved my weak, low-tech, baler engine to the redline. Yep--I'd be wearing chaps while I did it, and maybe even a vest with a three-piece rocker....but I digress.
At least it would be muffled somewhat, right? Ahhh come on, Stuart! Don't get your feathers all ruffled just because someone pulls your chain, man! I can tell you this much---I'd rather spend my time hanging around a bunch of so-called HD "posers" than a handful of Stuart-styled douchenozzles most any day. What a tool.

Stewie, you have been here for 12 years and over 8,500 posts. I would defy you to present any thread you have ever started that is positive and uplifting in any way. Likewise, I would defy you to show us any posts you have made that are such. The simple fact of the matter is that in all that time, you have only come here to put down, denigrate, snivel, and bytch. If that is the kind of outlook on life that your strident athiesm brings, you can have it.

Not so much. First cat, while silly looking will have less of a bad time when he goes down then the HD boys....
Sporto guy, silly looking but having a sister who was nationally recognized bicyle racer, I undersand the garb....stream lined, wicking, light weight. Would I wear it out, no. Would I wear it if I were seriously riding a bicyle sure. Give little care what others might think. |

I appreciate the louder pipes. would rather be momentarily annoyed at the noise than be involved in an accident with a bike no matter who is at fault.

I would be the first to agree that much of what I see that passes as "riding gear" on Harley riders is anything but functional. Come to think of it, though, the same can be said for most sportbike riders. Granted, the sport bikers are more likely to be seen in full face helmets, but they are also far more likely to be seen in shorts, tennis shoes, and tank tops. Those "helmets" I see on some of the Harley crowd, though - Christ almighty.
My wife and I are "ATGATT" folks, even on the Harley, even on the hottest of days. When we got rather uncerimoniously dislodged from the Harley last summer by some asleep at the wheel putz in a pickup, the armored leather gear and full face helmets quite literally saved our hides. Anyone who thinks we only wear that stuff to look cool or tough or whatever their particular negative stereotype suggests will just have to kiss my big, fat, hairy (and as of yet unscarred) white ass.

Why would anyone think proper leathers are cool or tough? Unless you have a brass knuckle duster on your belt, chaps and tassles, Jeff.... |

No, but there is always either a compact 1911 or Peacemaker stuffed into the belt...

Hi
|
If I'm in a traffic situation, my fingers of my left hand are on the clutch lever. Pulling in the clutch lever and using the throttle happens at the same time.
