That does look great, should be lowered though.

I wish someone made a modern 1946 Harley. This is the bike I want.

This!^^^ Why Harley doesn't jump on the café/naked/bobber bike craze and come out with something other than cruisers is beyond me.

Shaun, do you suppose you could make one of those out of a Sportster?

Harley XR1200:

Sweet baby Jesus. That commercial is enough to keep me from buying one!

I sold my Triumph. This is probably my next bike.

Why'd you sell the Triumph?

I remember when you bought it. I've never owned that style of bike, but I thought it looked really cool, it even moved me to try a couple out.

In the end, it looked better to me in the pictures than it did in real life, and I didn't much like the way it rode - at least not for the kind of riding I do.

Still have your V-Rod?

Don Ro 10-01-2014 11:39 AM

Won't be parting w/my '12 'tard any time soon.
I do like those Pirelli MT's, though.

I changed the suspension and had it handling beautifully, but I've had torn labrums and rotator cuffs in both shoulders and even after surgery the weight forward stance caused a lot of discomfort after a long ride.

I still have the V-Rod as love it like I did when it was new. It doesnt handle really well, but it's a big comfortable cruiser I like to ride in the mountains. And it doesn't rattle like a paint shaker like an air cooled Harley.

It needs some drag bars, street tires, a less dorkish swing arm, and finally a less gay exhaust. Frankly it looks like a Frankenstein bike assembled from mid '00 Japanese parts trying to be clever. Never been a fan of Ducati.

I wuz gonna keep quiet but now that I can see I'm not the only one that doesn't "get it" .......

It's a 4 stroke. And a single. And has 100 cc fewer. It's a VERY impressive engine.

Bill Douglas 10-01-2014 05:26 PM

Sounds GREAT. I'm very out of date with my motorbikes :(
