He used a massage gun that hurt like hell, but worked the same area that the PT technician worked on. He was really nice, didn't seem like he was just in it for the money (charged $50 for 1:45 minutes) and at least as far as the butt pain issue goes he seemed to know what he was talking about. OTOH I felt like hell all over for the rest of the day.

As promised - no pictures.
Several years back, I developed sciatica. Hurt like hell for about a year and finally decided to see a doc about it. They gave me some type of steroid (can't remember the name, unfortunately) for it--said I couldn't take more than 5 days' worth or it'd break your liver or kidneys...one of the two.

Anyway, by day 2 my pain was gone. Finished the 5 days script and I've never had an issue with sciatica again.

So, I gave it time and the acupuncture gave me 0 relief. Went back to the doc and he sort of threw up his hands in frustration and sent me to a spine guy.
Spine guy took X-rays and - good lord! One of my back bones looks like a piece of cauliflower. But aside from the arthritis he saw "Spondylolisthesis, grade 1 [M43.10]" whatever that is and he says that it the source of the pain. He is going to give me an injection into my spine. He's very confident he can get me pain-free, but X-rays from 2019 show the problem has deteriorated a lot in 4 years. He says surgery may be in my future.

Has anyone else here tried it? (slipping on nomex overalls)
Mixed bag. Used it for sports injuries/feet issues.. Some left needles in my body (after I asked if they got them all). You need to find a good one, with a good rep. Then I found that it does work. But it does not last long... I got decent relief for a week or 2 but not permanent fixes... All in all it's worth trying.

I've had good luck overall, and when I started, he treated something that I didn't know he was treating and noticed a huge difference.
