Maybe not exactly correct, but how about Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels. That's what I would do. !

oops, just checked... that would cost a few bucks more than just a few...

I think those K-H spokes were optional, and groovy. The wheels on it are interesting.

The K-H wheels are very cool, and were optional on the "Sports Roadster" drop-top. They are out of my price range, but if I ever have a chance......

Those are wheel covers that Grandpa Fred put on. I suspect he needed some sort of wheel cover, and didn't want to spend the money to find the originals. Even they are $50 each or so. They will remain for the time being until I can find four originals in good shape.

I think there was a redesign of the model in '64, so maybe not on the stickers, but who knows. Dad had one with the landau top(vinyl) It was pale yellow with the wire wheel covers, very sharp car. I was just a kid, but remember the back seat as pretty good for a two door. I always liked T birds. My friend Mark's mother had an older one, '58 with the dual headlights, it was pretty cool, spoke wheels, probably wheel covers.

Dad had that Ford until he got that '67 Riviera when it was maybe two years old. That was the first car I ever went 100 miles an hour in. Had a little speed alarm you could set. We were in the middle of nowhere on I-5 on a weekday. He had spun it all the way to the top, we turned it back to 100, Mom was not pleased.

Wheel covers would really change the look of that car for not much dough. That really is a great color too.

What a great style, very "Jet" like. I never really looked at Tbirds but now all of a sudden I want a '61 it looks so cool. I bet he's glad you got it.

Its an icon car - one that has always had 'presence'.
Looks like its unmolested as well !
I am looking at this one with very green eyes - but I couldn't even fit a quarter of it in my skinny little garage
more pics pls !!

Cheers
Dennis

I really love it! The car looks minty! That's cool that you were able to "keep it in the family". My dad had a '63.

Love the old 'Bird!

Hats off to "Half-Fast Freddie" for allowing you to keep it in the family.

I was expecting a 'ho-hum' car. But that is very cool.

It is always neat to see the car kept in the family.

You probably already know this but there are places that collect/sell nothing but old hubcaps.

Posting more pics with good sun? What is the color of the car? I wonder if my 76 backdate would look good in this turquoise.
